No wonder he had gained so much Power of Faith moments before. The brutality and savagery of the Jenny Gang had reached a monstrous level. These creatures no longer deserved to be called human!
Bang!
Right then, all the lights inside the factory suddenly went out.
Since the building was completely sealed, with no windows anywhere, everything plunged into pitch darkness the moment the lights died!
Clearly, the Jenny Gang members had realized Gao Jing had pursued them inside and were trying to use this method against him.
Whoever thought of this tactic had some quick wits.
Too bad they chose the wrong opponent!
Gao Jing gave a cold laugh.
He blinked, his pupils abruptly turning vertical. The aura of the Red Serpent radiated from his body.
In Gao Jing's perception, the surrounding world instantly changed.
He withdrew the assault rifle in his hand back into his Storage Space and switched to the battle axe from earlier.
Step by step, he advanced.
Though surrounded by impenetrable darkness, Gao Jing's eyes could now see a scene like an infrared thermal imager's display.
Those hiding in various corners of the factory were instantly exposed!
This infrared vision was an ability that gradually manifested after Gao Jing fused with the Viper Serpent spirit.
It was similar to an innate power, but required his active focus to use.
With infrared vision active, Gao Jing quietly approached a figure huddled in a corner, battle axe in hand.
He swung the axe and brought it down with a vicious chop.
This Sabah Slaughterhouse certainly had many real workers.
But absolutely none of them were innocent!
So Gao Jing showed no mercy. The target didn't even have time to scream before his head was severed.
Next moment, Gao Jing flashed several meters away, raising the battle axe high again.
The Jenny Gang members who thought darkness would save them never dreamed it actually granted Gao Jing a more terrible killing ability. They were chopped down one after another.
Shrill, anguished screams rose and fell. The survivors panicked completely.
Some yelled incoherently, some fired wildly, others wept and tried to flee the building.
But these fools faced a Gao Jing operating at full power.
He had not only the axe, but also firearms.
With superhuman strength and speed, infrared vision, and pinpoint accuracy, he was invincible in this environment.
Gao Jing turned this slaughter factory into a true hell on earth!
Jenny Gang members hiding in corners were hacked to death by the axe. Those trying to run were shot down by bullets.
These usually cruel and violent thugs shrieked and wailed. Some knelt begging for mercy. Others lost control in terror.
Still more broke down mentally in the darkness!
But their fates were all the same. Not a single one escaped Gao Jing's pursuit.
Including several gangsters who made it outside.
This one-sided battle lasted only minutes. Gao Jing killed thirty or forty Jenny Gang members, many dressed in factory uniforms.
When the last fugitive to reach the main gate was taken down by Gao Jing, a dead silence fell over the Sabah Slaughterhouse.
Gao Jing hung the battle axe back on his back and stored his weapons.
Then he left through the hole he had smashed in the perimeter wall earlier.
Although the time from his forced entry into the Sabah Slaughterhouse to his exit wasn't long, the nearby streets were now utterly empty. Shops lining the roadside were tightly shuttered.
Clearly, the gunfire and sounds of butchery had scared nearby residents into hiding.
Gao Jing walked a short distance down 17th Street, then suddenly ducked into an alleyway.
He looked around and broke open the door of a dwelling.
It was a dilapidated shack, its door rotted halfway through. Gao Jing barely expended any effort.
But to his surprise, inside the cramped, dark room, five people were hiding!
A ragged couple huddled in a corner, tightly clutching three children.
One was an infant in swaddling clothes.
Gao Jing's sudden entry frightened the baby; it opened its mouth to cry, but its terrified mother quickly covered its mouth.
Adults and children alike stared at Gao Jing with sheer terror, trembling violently.
To them, the immense, battle axe-wielding Gao Jing, the weapon still dripping blood, seemed like some devil from the depths of hell, radiating an aura of slaughter!
“Shhh~”
Gao Jing raised a finger to his lips, signaling silence.
The couple nodded rapidly. The husband clamped his hands over the mouths of the other two children.
They clearly meant to obey any command without question.
Gao Jing smiled faintly, reached out, pulled two stacks of 100 ringgit banknotes from his Storage Space, and tossed them before the family.
He closed the door and waited quietly.
Though the Sabah Slaughterhouse was the Jenny Gang's den, their real operations were in Kuala Lumpur city proper.
Normally, Apachai held the fort here, remotely commanding his city-based thugs.
Now that the Sabah Slaughterhouse was wrecked and Apachai dead, his followers with him would surely have sent the news out.
Gao Jing hadn't gone far precisely to launch this returning strike!
Opportunities to reap Power of Faith this bountifully were truly rare.
He didn't mind the wait. Even if Apachai's men didn't hurry back, it wouldn't matter much.
But Gao Jing's choice proved correct.
Within mere minutes, the roar of engines and incomprehensible shouting erupted outside.
Apachai's minions had arrived!
Hundreds of gang members, either running on foot or driving various Jeeps and off-road vehicles, converged on the Sabah Slaughterhouse from all directions.
Seeing the ground littered with corpses enraged them. They yelled and shouted incoherently.
When Apachai's close followers carried their Boss's body out of a building, the crowd became furious, the scene chaotic.
One individual, likely a leader, jumped onto some steps. Waving his fists, he yelled fiercely at the massed Jenny Gang members, spittle flying. His rant whipped the crowd into a frenzy.
Bang!
Right then, a blossom of blood exploded from that leader's forehead.
Gao Jing had stormed back into the Sabah Slaughterhouse. He grinned at the hundreds of Jenny Gang members—a stepfather-like smile.
